What Bingo Numbers Are Called the Most?

Bingo is a gambling game of chance, so there are no guarantees that any number will be called. However, statistically, some numbers do get called more than others. Knowing these numbers is handy, so you can make good decisions when choosing numbers for your bingo card.

Carry on reading to find out more about what bingo numbers are called the most.

What Bingo Numbers Are Called the Most

The Most Called Bingo Numbers

PlayOJO carried out one of the most informative studies on the most called bingo numbers in 2021. As it turns out, the most called bingo number is the number six! While you may be thinking that this is a lucky number in bingo, it still has exactly the same one in 90 chance of being called in a 90-ball bingo game.

Here is a list of the top 10 most called bingo numbers from most to least:

  1. 6 – tom mix
  2. 4 – knock at the door
  3. 42 – winnie the Pooh
  4. 62 – turn on the screw
  5. 52 – Danny La Rue
  6. 51 – tweak of the thumb
  7. 64 – red raw
  8. 81 – stop and run
  9. 47 – four and seven
  10. 57 – Heinz varieties

Unsurprisingly, the unlucky number 13 is the least-called number out of all 90. In fact, it was called almost 300 times less than the top spot number, six.

It is also important to remember that each bingo variant has a different set of available numbers. For example, 90 ball bingo has 90 numbers, 75 ball bingo has 75 numbers, 80 ball bingo has 80 bingo numbers and 30 ball bingo, often known as speed bingo, has 30 bingo numbers. So, the frequency of how many times a number may be called will change depending on what type of bingo variant you are playing. In the UK, the most popular bingo variant is 90-ball bingo, which is what the PlayOJO study is based on.

While the number six was the luckiest bingo number in this study, it can always change. There are no guarantees when you play a game of bingo that if you have the number six, it will lead you to a winning ticket.

Ways to Increase Your Chances of Winning at Bingo

There are no sure ways to win when playing bingo, including choosing the most called bingo numbers. However, there are still different steps that you can take to increase your chances of winning at bingo. Some of the top ways that you can do this are:

  • Max out your bingo tickets – it might seem obvious, but one of the top ways that you can increase your chances of winning at bingo is by maxing out the number of bingo cards available for you to purchase. In many online bingo games, players can purchase up to 96 tickets for a single game. Remember to stick within your budget when buying as many tickets as possible. It is much easier to implement this strategy playing online bingo as the software automatically daubs the numbers. It is much harder to do if you are playing in a brick-and-mortar bingo hall
  • Join a quiet bingo room – another easy way to increase your chances of winning at bingo is to opt for quieter bingo rooms. Some games are either more popular than others or are simply busier due to it being a peak time of day. Instead, you should play in a bingo room with fewer players and at off-peak times to increase your chances of winning
  • Consider your bingo numbers – while it is good to consider using the most called bingo numbers, you should also try to use bingo tickets with an even spread of numbers. These numbers should also be different across your various bingo tickets, so you are not just relying on a few numbers being called

If only using the most called bingo numbers guaranteed success, everyone would be a winner playing bingo! Unfortunately, as bingo is a game entirely of chance, there are no sure ways to get a winning bingo ticket. If you want to increase your chances of winning as much as possible, it is best to max out your tickets, choose an even spread of numbers, including some of the most called bingo numbers and opt for quieter bingo rooms.
